Changed to black tubing for airhose, best idea I ever did

I have a black background and the other day I bought new airlining and got black 25ft
with one in I immediatly switched 2 more
the other 2 are put in pain in the butt places so I'll do it when I get sick of seeing the "clear" tubing
does anybody else do black on black?

 

I've done it before. Are you referring to the black tubing made by lee's? My lee's stealth tubing became hard and brittle in a few months so I changed back to my regular brand.

I use python airline tubing, it's the best brand I've come across. It doesn't turn hard or brittle and is very flexible.

 

I use topfin I didn't know about different better brands and I've never heard of tubing hardening and brittle?

There are different grades of tubing and some are better than others. After about a year, cheap tubing will start to harden and become difficult to work with.

 

I'm always cautious of topfin products and their magical ability to leak,deteriorate and decintigrate. Keep an eye on the tubing.

very good idea, perhaps air tubing in a variety of colours would be good, obviously colouring the tubing made safe for fish, hhmm just a thought lol

 

I'll have to check out this tubing tonight at petsmart. I have a black background and it might blend better.

Thanks Ken. Plecoman123 said the tubing he bought was Top Fin brand, which means I'll be able to find it at Petsmart too
