Change Avatar in "Aquarium Pictures" section?

I noticed earlier that I have 2 different avatars. One shows when I make posts in the main forum - like this one - where I have a shot of my Apisto. In the Aquarium Pictures section, where the Photo Contest is, for example, I have a different avatar. It's a photo of my shrimp. At some point obviously I changed them both, but I can't find the place to change the "Pictures Section" one.

I can see my profile, and I see an 'edit profile' button, but there is no avatar option there, and I can't seem to find one. I see the main forum one just fine though.

Please help!

 

Good afternoon,

If you are wanting to change Avatars, click on My Settings in the blue bar close to the top of the screen. In the drop down box click on Edit Options. In the new screen, look to the left under Settings and Options and click on Edit Avatar.

If you have problems let us know.

Apparently I didn't describe this well enough. If I do as you say, it will change my avatar here - in the forum. But when I go to the pictures area - like to vote on fish of the month or to comment on photos - I have a different avatar. (here, my avatar is my apisto - on the pictures, it is an amano shrimp - I have some pics in the contest - you can see what I mean - (here is a link to my fish picture profile: ).

I cannot find the place to change THAT avatar - the 'edit profile' button - which is also a separate profile from this section - does not have an avatar section.

Now you have the same fish photo in both places. Is that what you were trying to do?

HI Ken - thanks for your help but, I still see two different s. I am trying to make them the same right now, but would like to know how to change them both for future reference.

My "main forum" profile - here:
shows my "profile picture" (a shadowy photograph) at the left, and my avatar (my male apisto) on the right. This is the same avatar that shows when I post here - like this very post.

My "fish pictures" profile - here:
still shows the Amano Shrimp.

Thing is, the amano shrimp is my own photograph, so I must have changed them both at some point! I just can't figure out how to change the Shrimp (fish pictures) one. This shrimp avatar shows up when I vote or comment on a photo.

I'm sorry, but I'm not seeing a shrimp photo anywhere. I see the shadow photo in your Profile Photo and I see the male Apisto in your post and in your profile MinI Statistics and in the photo contest sections.

If you have made any changes recently, within the past few minutes, you may need to sign off and back on to see the updates.

Let's let someone else take a look.

Are you saying that the two should sync up and there is no "other" place for an avatar - there shouldn't be 2 separate ones?

 

OK I logged out and back in and still 2 different pics. I will show screen grabs...

 

Hello Scottie,

The Avatar in the post above of the Apisto should also appear in the MinI Statistics (right hand corner of your profile) and in any posts, comments you make in the Aquarium Photo Contest sections.

The only different photo you would have would be your profile photo which I see as shadows.

Two different s! Could be a cookies thing I suppose... but I get the same thing at work and on my home computer!

You're welcome, not that I was much help. lol.
Try clearing cookies, temp files and java cache. That might help.
It's weird that you're seeing something different than Ken and I.
