At first, he was kinda an idiot when it came to fishkeeping, but now he's got some super nice tanks and great videos

We all are idiots when we come into fishkeeping lol. We don't know anything.

He's definitely improved when it comes to fishkeeping, but I still wouldn't trust any of his advice.

I like him, but he needs to stop playing with his hair and saying "actually" so much. "I actually got an actual shrimp and actually put it in my actual betta tank actually" - no that's not an actual quote (see what I did there) but you see my point. I also wish I didn't have to sit through several minutes of him talking before getting to the point of the video. Now, all that said, I do like his videos and he's come a long way in a year. His videos from summer of last year, he was making every newbie mistake possible - not washing the gravel, not using water conditioner, adding fish within minutes of setting up a new tank. But in just a short amount of time he went from being the cringeworthy new fish owner to a serious hobbyist. I do appreciate the fact he kept all his newbie videos up.

You do know he has well water which means he can add fish right away. There is no chlorine or harmful stuff in the water. Other than that I completly agree with you.

Even if you have well water, you still have to cycle a tank before adding fish. But, I'm pretty sure he realized his mistake because he talks about it in some of his later videos.
