I have stocked my 29 gallon planted long tank with:
    6 fancy guppies
    8 cardinal tetras
    6 otocinclus catfish
    1 bristlenose
I realize this may look a bit full but now I would like a centerpiece fish
I would like your opinions but I would also like to know about how many either kribs, or dwarf gourami I can have and how many should be male or female. I would also like to know whether or not a butterfly fish is an option or any other fish like it. Also if my current stocking is ok.
If you can answer any of these questions that would be greatly appreciated!
    Thank you in advance. :D

To sex dwarf gouramis, males will have a pointy dorsal fin and are more colorful, and females aren't commonly seen in stores. I would just do one of those.
I wouldn't do a butterfly fish with cardinals.
Kribs..... would work. I would do one.

    2 male dwarf gouramis?

They'd probably fight, being overcrowded as it is.

Also not sure why you have two "cleaner" fish. It's redundant.

Well since you asked, I think that your tank is maxed out. The plec even tho bushy nose are one of the smaller ones they still are poop machines. If any of the guppies are female you'll need to control the population. I like your stocking numbers, good job.

Guess the OP likes a "clean" tank! ;)

To the OP, no, don't get two dwarf gouramis, I'd just get one imo. :)

I'm on team Krib. I have a single female crib in my community tank. So much personality and beautifully colored for such a "cheap" fish. My favorite purchase lately by far.

Mine too, in fact I'm supposed to be getting a bunch of wild-caught Pelvicachromis Taeniatus in a week or so.

IMO, you're pretty well stocked right now. I'd stand pat with what you already have...

If you somehow rehomed the BN pleco, would clear up to get more fish imo...
