CC, the betta who had horrible tail rot.

On one of my first posts on (and the reasoned I joined) fishlore was about a male betta who had really bad fin rot. His tail was GONE, and he looked horrible. He still ate and everything, but swimming was hard for him.
(I've never posted a picture of him before, but I don't know why.
so you guys havn't seen him.)

Yea, his finnage is looking good and looks like he's got new regrowth going on.

It took him about a month, maybe a bit longer. It's still growing back, so I hope is long beautiful tail will grow back soon.

 

Are you adding vita-chem or fish protector?

 

To treat him? Or just to add to the water?
I WAS treating him with Melafix, then BettaFix, and it seemed to be working... but COBetta I think it was you two who told me that a lot of bettas have died from Melafix, and that Bettafix was just a smaller dose...

 

Yea, the tea tree leafs have a mostly negative effect on the air labyrinth organ, but I'm glad your guy pulled through.

The Vita-Chem and Fish Protector both boost fin regrowth in fish.. which has helped our angels a lot too.

To the amount that he has now, it took him a little while longer than a month. I might have some pictures of when it was bad, but not at it's worse.
I only bought my camera about three weeks about.

Perhaps your RafikkI has a long lost brother... You might want to do some DNA checks...
