Catching Native/introduced Fish

Hey everybody!

I am currently looking for a place where I can catch wild mollies, guppies, gambusia, least killifish, and possibly wild gouramis in the Houston or Katy area. Does anyone know a place where any of these can be caught? I am doing a project, with catching and raising native/introduced fish as my topic. All advice is greatly appreciated.

look for small, stagnant ponds. That would be your best bet. Then slow moving rivers that are pretty shallow would be my second guess

Thanks. I'll just have to look around.

I haven't seen any while fishing this winter, but in the summer I see some small minnow like fish at Mary Jo Peckham.

there's a park with a larger pond over on Porter (Mason Creek), I haven't fished it but may some.

That's good, they're both really close to where I am.
