So I went into a health place for an appointment today and noticed a bowl with 2 goldfish in there, Romeo and Juliet. I told the girl in the front desk: "Are you guys aware that you need a bigger tank for 2 comet gold fish?" and the girl said "I didn't know that but it's a little obvious they need a bigger tank". I told her, "Comet goldfish actually grow a few feet long, the only environment suitable for them would be a pond. When they're in a bowl like that they're constantly under oxygenated due to the surface of the water, and a fish's insides continue growing even if the fish doesn't. Eventually the fish explodes or dies. The only fish I would have in a tank like this is a betta, and even then the shape isn't good. You also need a filter." the girl said, "well that makes sense because usually they die in a few months. I'll take them back and get a filter and a betta fish." I said, "Bettas are tropical and also need a heater." So hopefully those goldfish don't come to anymore harm.
