Hello, the PH in the tap water I use is 7.7 to 7.9. In the aquariums it is stable at 7.9/8.0, if I use Caribsea Aragonite would it raise it over 8.2 being so close or would it raise it over it?

It really depend on the water volume and the amount of sand, and also how long it sits before the next water change. So far to the best of my knowledge there isn't any formula to get the perfect pH. But I believe it'll raise it to the higher pH.

Ok, sounds reasonable.
For the 40 long I'm planning to mix is with pool sand.
But for the QT/Hospital/Grow out tank was thinking of a tupper with the aragonite and a plant so it's not that that empty tank
