HI'm getting a tig welder to cut bits off of it, and then turning it into an exo car (exo car) as his race car. It's not going to be nothing but cage since the stang is too big a car for that to not look silly so most of the body panels on the back half will stay on

Oh that's what you meant. I thought you were talking about the Mustang in general.

They are stout engines once a few issues are addressed. Far superior to the 6.4 I think

Only thing is no matter how much you do to them they still aren't as reliable as a 7.3. My dad has a 97 f350 with the 7.3. I can burn donuts around him all day long but he just keeps chugging alone. That and how mines turned up you would melt it down if you actually tried to use it as a pickup. Its just a big toy.

Very true, not uncommon for a 7.3 to go 500k with just preventative maintenance. I agree though, the 6.0 is a hot rod compared to the 7.3. And the 6.0 turbo whistle is incredible

Especially threw a 4 inch straight pipe. I hate taking on trips. You have to have the passenger window closed or you will deaf. When dad goes some were with me hes always like calm down take it easy. I can't help my mid rpms are his red line.

I'm not positive really...it sounds like it would be the transmission, but based on where the sound is coming from it doesn't make sense for that to be it

Oof. At this point it might be better to get a used car, as there would be no point in using so much money on the va when you could get a different car for the same amount.

For the most part it happens when passing 3k rpm, I’d say between 2700 and 3200 ish. It sounds rough/grindy. It’s pretty noticeable when accelerating, even louder when the rpm drops below 3k to shift, and loudest right when the gears disengage to shift either way. That seems like it’s obviously the transmission going, but the sound seems to be coming from in front of me and over towards the passenger side.

I used to have an 05 STI that could cut a 10.5 in the quarter. I suffered from tinkeritis for many years then got married, a house, and kids. I still miss it some days for sure. I had a tank when I was little, but took a 2 decade hiatus. Now, I'm back with more ideas and ability to do cool things with tanks. It's relaxing and is my Zen garden of sorts.

The slip would be just that .The engine will over rev alittle you should see the tach jump .It is like the transmission lets go or looses grip[slips ].
ATF is AUtomatic Transmission Fluid ..You'll know if it smells burnt !
Check the level while your at it .
That needs to be done with engine running and van parked on level ground in park .

Lol ok, it is slipping then. Sometimes if I need to get on the gas right after slowing down it will slam itself into the lowest gear possible for that speed for like half a second before it grabs a gear that’s actually useful.
Would I be able to tell the difference between burning power steering fluid and burning transmission fluid....? We still need to get it back on a lift and see where the steering is leaking from...

I’d be willing to bet your steering fluid is coming from your power steering pump, specifically where the hard lines go in. I would work the wheel left to right and have someone look for leakage.
If you haven’t checked your transmission fluid in awhile I would do that ASAP as coralbandit recommended. You’d be amazed how crappy an auto trans will operate when it’s low on fluid

I mean it is now at 195,000 miles...and if all I need to do is flush the transmission I can't really complain about it lasting this long. Toyota estimates their longevity to be between 130,000 and 180,000 miles so I'd say 15 thousand beyond that is pretty good.

I'm sure you're right, it's just a question of what exactly we need to tighten up down there. It's definitely could've been put in a more convenient place too....

They're somewhat of a supercar deal as you can get them for "only" $100,000.

The LamborghinI was a Huracan Performante, not sure how many there are. The other is a FerrarI 488 Pista. Again, not sure how many of those there are.

It was indeed, but they had a lot of help on it, like how it has a BMW engine. The MP4-12C was their first car that they built in-house at the Woking plant.
Fun fact you probably already know: Gordon Murray was actually going to use a Honda engine for the F1. He was so impressed with the NSX that he asked Honda but they turned him down.

That feeling when you want to drive the Jeep today because there will be puddles on Capital Blvd. Since we got the BMW the Jeep hasn't been driven very much since the bimmer is so roomy and comfy for everyone. But, there are days, like today when it's rainy and puddly, and this coming Friday when the forecast high is 86...yeah. Pretty sure Friday will be the first doors-off day of 2020.
