Cant for the life of me catch chinese algae eater

I mistakenly got 3 chinese algae eaters and I cannot catch them tried a fish trap but I catch every other fish but them. 8 don't know if anybody has any more Ideas I'm at my wits end.
Oh and forgot to mention the tank is heavily planted

 

Outside of removing everything and using a good size net, i can't think of much else. Hopefully someone on here has an easier method for you but, that's the only way I've been able to catch faster moving fish.

 

They can be quite the pain to catch, as you well know.
Fishnturtleguy is on the right track, but before you go to all that trouble, try this.
Cut a piece of plexiglass the same size as the depth of your tank and crowd the fish over to one side and drop the glass. the closer you can catch it to the end of the tank, the better. Then perhaps you can net it without removing everything.

 

Do a big WC and get them when u only have a few inches of water in the tank.

The trouble with removing most of the water when the tank is heavily planted is that the stems and leaves fall on top of the fish, you can’t see what is going on and everything gets tangled up when you try to use the net. Bandit4160’s idea is a good one (though again with plants it will be more difficult than it sounds). Sometimes it works to have two people, each with a net, one chases the fish towards the other, who then attempts to trap it against the glass. Sometimes this way the fish gets panicked and confused. However you do it, if you manage to trap it against the glass, before you lift the net tap the glass to scare the fish deeper into the net, then it is less likely to escape as you lift the net.
