Can't diagnose what is wrong with Zebra Danio?

JTDawg

I have a 75G tank. Did a water change 3 days ago and my water parameters is as good as its going to be (0ppm Amonnia, 0ppm Nitrite, 5<ppm Nitrate).

I recently noticed one of my zebra danios being lethargic so I took him out and put him on a small hospital tank. However, I cannot diagnose what is wrong with him. Below are some symptoms:
- bruised body
- discoloration/whiteness around abdomen
- soreness and red stripes around abdomen
- lethargic
- fast breathing

I'm worried about him but I also would like to know what he has incase I have to treat the larger tank.

I mainly have zebra danios, barbs (rosy, gold and dennison), 3x gourami, bolivian ram, keyhole cichlid and rainbows in my tank and they are all doing fine.

The red stripes (Septicemia) is an indicator of an intestinal infection. Really no way to determine if the problem is bacterial, parasitic or viral.
Likely nothing can be done for the little guy.
No need to medicate the main tank, but be ready to remove any other obviously infected fish.
Zebra Danios aren't as hardy as they once were 25 yrs. ago. Used to be almost indestructible.
