So I got a question for everyone:

When I turn on my CF-500, primmed and everything. I am notice air bubbles in my intake hose when there isn't an airstone remotely near's constant. I tried checking the connection to the elbow and hose and its a tight connection. Anyone every have that problem? Or is this a faulty filter? thanks.

I have a CF 400 and everything is fine with that canister, I hear absolutely hear no noise or air bubbles in my intake hose.

It is sometimes an issue when there are too many bends in the hose or even a small air leak in the connections. Sometimes its just a small issue created when the siphon is started.

Try priming the filter faster or a little more before switching it on, i have the same problem but it soon goes away

If you are using the surface skimmer piece, it's important that it's set up right or it'll suck air into the system.
