I have an Aquatop Forza FZ9 canister filter for my 55 gallon tank. It recently began making a running water noise. I cleaned it to make sure no debris was causing any issues and made sure to fill it up before reattaching it. I also primed it. It turned back on with no problems except for the fact that it's still making that running water sound, although that sound is quieter than it was. I'm not sure what's going on with it and I'm not sure what else to check. The filter is running just fine otherwise.

May be air stuck in the filter. Try to shake it back and forth the air may come out.

Rock it forward and back and side to side and it should get the bubbles out.

This might be a stupid question but are you sure all of the connections are fully open? I run a cascade canister and the only time it sounds like running water is when one of the valves are closed or if the water level in the tank is to low and the outflow is hitting the top.

Sorry I couldn't be more help

Thank you, everyone, for the advice! It turned out to be air.
