Can you turn down the bubbles on an air pump

I have a Tetra Whisper Air Pump and was wondering if theres any way to lessen the bubbles? Some of my newly added plants aren't into the water flow and are started to look a little eh.

Get a valve and bleed off some of the air. Trying to block some of the air flow is bad for your pump.

You can find these cheaper.

Yep, beat me to it. A gang valve is what we used to call them. One line in, four coming out.

One other question. Do you guys think theres a difference between the plastic and metal ? I think I have a plastic one if I can find it.

If it was me doing what you are doing I'd prefer the plastic one. No actual valve. Just a plug to pull out and let the air flow. Pull out one, two, three...

But I can see certain applications where the valves might be nice. Maybe throttling down an airstone where a little adjustment goes a long way. Turn down the airstone, open up a different valve.

Whisper pumps come with a plastic valve. I've never had any problems with them.
