I've been debating if I can fit in a dwarf gourami in my tank with my 3 SA cichlids

  2. FishFish221Well Known MemberMember

What species of SA cichlids are they?

Electric blue acara, Firemouth, and rainbow in a 55. I just want something to help spread aggression mainly

I wouldn't do it. Firemouths alone can be very aggressive and will probably decide to attack the gourami.

    Ok thanks

I'd do a blue gourami instead, it would be better suited.
Firemouths are not 'very aggressive'. They are mainly peaceful.

You could do a Pearl, gold, or a moonlight gourami.

A blue, gold, or opaline (all the same, just different color variants) would probably be better able to stand up for themselves if need be.

"can be" meaning they have the ability to be aggressive, especially during mating season.

He only has one, so he won't have to worry about breeding aggression.
