Can This Snail Be Saved? Soft Shell

HI Everyone,
I have a 2 purple mystery snails purchased at the same time in two different tanks. The one in my daughter's tank has a softness to the growth side of the shell. I thought it had died, but I removed it and gave it some calcium chips and it woke up.
Do you think that this snail can be saved? Maybe add some liquid calcium?

EDIT: PH is 6.6-6.8

 

The pH is likely what is causing it. Most snails need a pH of 7 or higher. Calcium can be a factor as well though

I put a catappa leaf in the tank for the betta, and this is what happens! Thanks! I hope I can get the shell to harden up or I'm worried I might lose her.

Yep wonder shells, sea shells, cleaned egg shells (from breakfast) crushed oyster shells (for chickens) cheap calcium supplements(drug store) or cuddle bone (for birds) will all add calcium to the water for the snails.

OK, this probably explains why my personal tanks have a ph of around 7.0 - they have cuttlebone and a bit of crushed coral. I put her in my tank and gave some pure calcium chips , which she seemed to eat. I hope this will cause her shell to harden up. I'll check later this morning.
