I have 29G tank with three erectus seahorses, 2 margarita snails, 2 nassarius snails, 2 red hermits, and two turbo snails (well one now). One of my turbo snails had died and when I took him out he stinked so bad. However, that caused my ammonia and nitrite to go to 0.25. It hasn't gone down since, My last bottle of prime was finished two days ago? Would my ponies be okay? Would the death of the turbo snail cause my tank to go downhill? Please help!!!

If you leave a body of anything dead, it will rot and produce ammonia. Usually, if your cycle is strong, it’ll take care of it, but the body won’t go anywhere until it has disintegrated or eaten on.

Remove the snail, do a water change, use Prime, and you’ll be good to go again.
