Can someone tell me what type of cichlid this is?

fishlover5333

I just got these two cichlids at a local fish store near me and they were just labeled as “African cichlid assorted” so I have no clue what kind they are and also can’t find anything about them on google. Can anyone tell me what they are?? They looked more yellow in their tank but they’re a lighter color in mine. Thanks

If the stripes are darker when comfortable it looks like pseudotropheus crabro- known as Bumblebee cichlid, but that is just a guess. I am not real experienced with African cichlids.

Assorted African Cichlids usually means, unwanted juvenile hybrids in my area. Lol.
Just a guess, #1 looks like a juvenile Canary OB Peacock. #2 might be a variant of the Yellow Lab, sold in my area under the name, Electric Yellow
Mbuna".

def not carbro, first fish looks like a ob peacock x hap or something, and second looks like an electric yellow x something.

They look like mixed hybrids of multiple Mbuna varieties/species. I would not try to label them with any existing names.
