Can someone clarify ?

My elector blue ram seems to be protecting what looks like eggs , the only
other ram in the tank is a German blue ram and she is a she because she has laid eggs but got eaten by the Angels .the blue ram is chasing the German blue really bad ...who's a male here ?? or are they both females to lay eggs and no male to fertilize ?

1 must be a male if you have seen 1 lay eggs then the other is the male. Electric blue and german blue are the same fish kuat different coloir morphs

We have seen the German blue lay eggs but it's the electric blue protecting these not even letting the German blue any where near and these are the only two in tank except Angels .

And I read where both parents would protect but the blue want let the German near or Angels of course .

They could both be females too, and the EB is laying unfertilized eggs. You'll know in a few days! If they're fertilized, then the EB must be male if you've seen the GBR lay eggs before.

Wow his coloring is stunning . I have never seen one before. If I ever do, two are coming home with me. Alison

Thank you, they really are beautiful fish , I ordered him from Florida, I have 2 .
