Can one feed too many snails to a pea puffer?

Entered the pea puffer world when I purchased an already established 5 g tank.
Inhabitants are one pea puffer named Shamrock as I picked up the tank on St.Patrick’s day. Tank also has some cherry shrimp (the seller had not mentioned the shrimp so I had to do a crash course on shrimp keeping!) and an assassin snail which I discovered when it popped up out of the substrate!

Anyway, I’m completely smitten with the puffer! He readily eats thawed blood worms and daphnia. And I give him a ramshorn snail about 2x/week.
Last time I added about 4 small snails. He definitely ate one right away and I did see 2 others a day or so later and then they disappeared. Obviously, the assassin may have enjoyed a meal also.
Will a puffer gorge on snails?
Is it safe to add 4-6 small snails at a time?

I guess it’s possible he could overeat but some are smart enough to stop when they are full. I would probably keep it to 1-2 a day to prevent overeating but I have never kept peas so I dont know for sure.

They supposedly are. I’ve read they don’t mix well with most other fish. I’m surprised he leaves the shrimp alone. I’ve watched a shrimp swim right up to him and he totally ignores it.
It’s fascinating to watch him stalk a snail.
