Can Kribs hold eggs?

I have a male and female Krib who have spawned twice before. She is clearly gravid and they are doing the shimmy. They bit the angels fins weeks ago which usually happens right before a spawn. However I had to temporarily put a larger yellow lab in the tank and he is the tank boss. I have made numerous areas that only the kribs can fit into for them to spawn yet they haven’t used them. Could she be holding eggs Bc they don’t feel secure?

Holding like she is keeping them in? Sorry to ask, because "holding" can also refer to mouthbrooders having a mouthful of eggs.
And yes, some species can postpone laying eggs when conditions are less than optimal. I'm a bit astonished though, as Pelvicachromis often spawn in the direst of conditions.

Well, as other fish and especially cichlids can do this aswell, why not them, too? So... It's obviously happening.

Yes they normally would have spawned by now. Hopefully today?!

Ugh well basically the lab is also holding eggs so is laying low and staking out territory. She will not be able to spawn tho as there is no male so hopefully the kribs will now. I just don’t want the female to be hurt If she holds eggs in (the Krib). I’ve set up so many areas only they can get into!

Well I also finally got access to my 20 gallon again. So I’ve been seeding this ac 30 inadvertently (and I’ve been seeding ceramic media for this 20 long) and I’m moving the lab in tomorrow. I had all the parts I needed, yet they were at different houses, etc etc. so now I finally have heater seeded filter etc etc. I hope the lab won’t be lonely, yet perhaps she will enjoy her own space. I had her in the 20 long for a very very short amount of time and the heater was not sufficient and so I got a new one.
