Can ich survive ammonia?

Right I have NO fish in my tank but I do have these parasite type things that I thought I had got rid of.. So as I want to cause my tank to recycle... As a saltwater tank I want to keep the water so I was wondering would this parasite type thing survive the high levels of ammonia. It has no filter at the moment to allow the food to rot and build up ammonia for this purpose so I was wondering would it work??

I'm a little confused by the post...

You currently have a freshwater set up with no fish? In the tank are parasites and you want to add marine salt and make it a salt water tank which will require a new cycle with Saltwater beneficial bacteria?

If what i'm assuming is correct then I am no 100% sure if the parasite would be able to survive high levels of ammonia or not. I would believe that if it is a freshwater parasite then it would not survive in the presence of the marine salt.

Well I'm basically "killing"the tank and starting again so to do that ive added lots of food and have taken out the filter and put it in tap water to clean it to get rid of this parasite

I think ich can survive anything, even a nuclear blast.

I don't think you can get rid of ich. It can stay dormant from what I understand.

If you have no fish, what makes you think there is ich in your tank? It's really not visible to the naked eye unless it's on a fish. Based on everything I've read, there really isn't a "dormant" stage of ich. It goes through it's lifecycle and if it cannot find a host, it will die. There must be a host in the tank or the freeswiming phase will die in a number of days. If your tank is empty because it's cycling, you should be able to up the temp to speed up the lifecycle of the parasite and wait it out for a couple of weeks while the parasite completes it's lifecycle, doesn't find a host and dies. You can then clean the tank (vac, water change, and so forth) before adding the fish.
