D3BDA6BC-1B08-4D5B-AD3A-A3CD79A3AAE9.jpeg I have this super glue here and I was wondering if this stuff would be safe to glue onto a rock and stick some moss on it. Super glue sounds like a bad idea in an aquarium to me for some reason but SO many people do it and suggest it, but they never say a specific brand. It’s always just “super glue”. Another question, is it really going to bond if my rock and my moss are wet? And how long do I let it dry before putting it back into the tank? Thanks for any advice !

I did that in my aquarium and it worked, the fish weren't ok. I just got the plants and stuck them on with a small amount of glue and by the time I was done it had tried already but I placed it in a bucket with water first then into the tank

I think it might have to be super glue GEL, but I am not sure? They are both cyanoacrylate. I have heard you can even do it right in the aquarium, so wetness is fine, but maybe THaT is what the gel part is for?

What happened to the fish? Or did you mean to say the fish WERE ok?

Where possible I just use cotton and bind the plant to whatever I need to as supper glue will kill the root system if you get it on there

I've never had super glue kill anything except attaching moss, and even then it's only where the moss is directly glued.

Didn't explain it right there was a discussion here where someone tried to glue the roots to something and it destroyed them. It killed the roots. when the plant was glued it was ok

Oh ok. I can definitely see the roots dying if you cover them. They WILL suffocate. Other than that I don't know how it could be that bad. Corals don't object to it!
