Hey all, I'm just wondering, I have some HikarI Oranda Gold pellets from when I kept goldies. I still have their food. My question is can I feed it as a supplemental food for a flowerhorn?

Nutriton:
Crude Protein Crude Fat Crude Fiber Moisture Ash Phosphorus
min. 45% min. 6% max. 5% max. 10% max. 14% min. 1.2%

Ingredients:
Fish Meal, Wheat Flour, Krill Meal, Spirulina, Dried Seaweed Meal, Brewer's Dried Yeast, Gluten Meal, Enzyme, Garlic, Astaxanthin, Monosodium Glutamate, DL-Methionine, Vitamins and Minerals including Stabilized Vitamin C.

It's also said to promote head growth (wens on goldies). Don't know if this will have an effect though.

How old is it? Nutritional supplements in the food would break down over time.

Oh good point, It's almost a year old now.

I wouldn’t feed it then. Dump it outside somewhere. Feed some wild critters.

It will probably not keep the fish hungry but it won't get the nutrients required and its KOK might not grow as fast.
