Can I Use These All At The Same Time?

HI (again, lol). So my 20 gallon tank with 8 guppies in it had an ammonia spike in it and I did a 50% water change and the ammonia went down but still not at 0... it is hovering between .50-1PPM right now. After asking, it was recommended to dose it with prime. My current parameters are .5-1 ppm ammonia, 0 nitrite, 0 nitrate. Temp is 75 and pH is 7.4

I will be adding prime this afternoon.

My question was I am not happy with my water conditioner right now. Can I add seachem prime, matrix, and stability to the tank at the same time and just condition my water with prime and stability during water changes and not even deal with my previous conditioner?

I am so sorry for all the questions, I've never done this before and no one I know has kept fish.

If you did a water change and it didn’t knock your ammonia down enough simply do another water change. If you have 1ppm of ammonia and change 50 percent of the water you should be right around .50ppm. I cycled 2 tanks with fish in them but I made sure to keep my ammonia at .25 or lower with the rare jump up to .50. Your tank should always be dosed with prime whether you change water or not. Condition all water with prime, if you don’t change water you should still be dosing the tank daily with prime. The prime converts ammonia to much less harmful ammonium for about 24 hours basically safeguarding your fish and making the ammonia harmless. If your reading 1ppm ammonia I would immediately change 75 percent of your water and proceed as fore mentioned.

I also noticed your temperature is at 75 degrees I would recommend gradually raising that temperature to 80-82 your guppy’s won’t mind it one bit and it will help promote beneficial bacteria growth.

Thank you for both posts. I will dose with prime after I do that water change tonight. I appreciate it!
