Can I use stiff plastic mesh (darice brand) in a tank?

I want to use it for various projects inside the tank at all times and occasionally- lid, siphon cover, divider
I'm wondering if the "stiff" part of it is bad.

I don't know what it is but walmart sells plastic mesh in sheets for needlepoint projects in their craft dept and work well for aquarium projects, Plus you can cut it with sissors. Alison. :;hi2

I agree. That looks like the same stuff they sell at Wal Mart, and it works great for a lot of aquarium uses. If it is the same stuff, it's polyethylene, which is pretty safe. It's used for those fancy "Nalgene" hiking and camping water bottles, etc.

I made a divider out of it for my bettas. So far it's working great. Hadn't thought of using it for a lid though good idea!
