Can I use a Sterilite box as a spawning tank?

Hello
I used to have Bettas, and I want to get into them again. I would really love to breed Spade tails as they are rare and I want to preserve them. I'm wondering if it's okay to use a Sterilite storage box as a spawning tank and to keep the fry in until they outgrow it. Will the sides bulge with the water? I guess I could put it in a corner. And if they don't outgrow it(I'm going to cull most of the fry except for about 10-20) is it okay to keep using it until the males start fighting?

I know that a few members use sterilite containers for QT so it should be fine for a spawning tank.

Sure, I used one. Depending on the box, it can make it a little harder to see the fry and eggs though.

Is it food grade plastic? If so, yes, otherwise .....

Oh, they sure are rare, I only have one and she was a bit of an accident (bought her as a veil tail female and she turned into a lovely spade tail!), yes, food safe is the best to get as it will not having anything leaching out into the water and harming the babies/adults.
