Can I use a Python on a 3.5 gallon tank?

Or what’s the smallest tank a Python hose (not hand pump) can be used on?
My friend has a new 3.5 gallon betta tank and I wondered if she could use a Python. I haven’t seen the tank and have no clue how large or small it is in person so the question might be ridiculous but I will let her use mine. Otherwise I suggested a Python hand pump but I don’t like them very much. It’s hard to find a place above the tank to be able to refill with gravity.

I don’t think you’d really need to on a 3 gallon.

I use a small hand pump on my 5 gallon. I just syphon water into a five gallon bucket, dump it out. Then I fill a gallon jug with water and conditioner and pour that water in. The most I have to do is 2 - 3 trips with the gallon jug. She could also just put the amount of water in the bucket and pour it in.

It would be more trouble than its worth honestly. You are only taking out a gallon of water pretty much.
