Can I Treat A Tank For Ich And Fungus At The Same Time?

A couple weeks ago, I decided to fill out my tank a little more. Unfortunately, one of the fish I got was infected with ich and only showed symptoms the night after I bought it. I removed it immediately and began treatments, but of course it was too late and three of the other new fish were infected and died. My old fish were all fine, luckily. I've been continuing treatments for nearly two weeks now and no new ich symptoms have shown up. However, I noticed today that one of my roselines has a pale fuzziness dotting its scales, which I assume is a type of fungus. I still have about four days left in the ich treatments to ensure that is gone. Can I treat for both ich and fungal infections at the same time? I'm using Microbe-Lift Herbtana for the ich and I've got API Pimafix for fungal.

Thank you to anyone who takes the time to read and answer! <3

tldr; Does anyone know what the Herbtana ich treatment contains and if it can be used with API's bay oil?

You can if you use compatible products. Read the labels and/or contact the manufacturer before combining medications.

Seachem Paraguard says it will treat parasitic and fungal infections. I am using it now to treat the angelfish I bought without examining them closely until I got home and saw the spots . I also called Seachem this morning to confirm that you do not need to do huge water changes in between doses like some medications. Customer support said that the medication breaks down over 24 hours, so you have to dose every day at the same time, but some meds require large water changes between doses. My fish, including a Bristlenose pleco, do not seem bothered by the medication at all. Hope it works out for you

Thanks for the replies <3
Neither treatment mentions water changes, just that I should remove the carbon (which I did).
The Herbtana (ich treatment) warns "Do not use with other treatments or medications, algaecides or copper based products" and does not say what the medication contains.
The API on the other hand has no warnings about using with other medications and says it contains "Pimenta racemosa oil (bay oil 1%).
Does anyone know what the Herbtana treatment contains and if it can be used with API's bay oil?

I think in the future I will get that Paraguard, something that treats both so I won't have to worry about this - thanks Magicpenny!

Just be careful using aromatic oils in labyrynth fish tanks. It's debated as to whether those oils can damage their labyrynth organ.

I fully recommend Paraguard. I did not have any luck with the other treatments you mentioned, and once I switched to Paraguard I finally started seeing improvement. I ran my carbon filter for a day before I started the Paraguard to remove the first round of meds.

I did, however, do water changes every few days during treatment. As people said, the Paraguard needs to be re-added daily, but cleaning the tank, water changes, helped to restore the water for me and get my tank righted. It's terrible, but you have something in your water, and frequent water changes will help dilute that while the meds take care of the rest.
