Hello

I'm planning on giving my angel fish a salt bath this morning and while I am at it, I was wondering if, when I have finished bathing the angel, it would be alright to dip the tail of my pleco, maybe in a slightly stronger salt solution? The pleco has a kind of necrosis on his tail that recently has got a little bit worse - it seems mostly happy but this has been a problem I've been working on for nearly a year now so I think he might have learnt to live with it.

Any advice would be much appreciated

Any one correct me if I'm wrong, but because your pleco is a scaleless fish, they can absorb minerals and chemicals through their delicate skin, I don't think that it is a great Idea. I wouldn't do it, but then again if its just the tail... but thats just my two cents Gunnie? what do you think?

Why are you giving your angel a salt bath? They and the pleco will not appreciate the salt at all.
