Can I put live rock in freshwater tank.

Well you could but it would no longer be live rock it would just be a rock.............with dead live stuff.

Yea the saltwater stuff would die off and rot so you would need to sit and rinse. Sit and rinse. Die off. Sit and rinse.

It all depends on what fish your looking to keep. You can do it but yes it will just turn into a rock. You can get dead or man made live rock that is cheaper. It will raise your ph and your hardness though.

If you keep some Types of normal community fish or some cichlids it should be fine.

heres the dead live rock I have left over from years ago I have other prettier pieces in all my tanks, and extra in my canister filter for my african tank.
