In my planted 10 gal (no fish yet), my pH was not being stable. My KH was 3 and my GH was 9. I added some crushed coral to the substrate in hopes to raise the KH to help pH stabilize. Now, my KH is 4 and my GH is 11. From what I read, plants do best in 3-8 GH? I have low light plants only. Is there any way to lower GH without lowering KH? Obviously my tap water has higher GH and low KH.

Water Softener Pillow by API
This is a piece of filter media specifically designed to lower GH. Though I kind of contradicted myself in another thread saying it was not worth it. I add purified water like RO to my tank to lower GH

Plants prefer the softest water possible, 0-1 degrees of kH, and a moderate gH 6-8 degrees.

Easiest way is to cut with RO water to reach your target kH or gH, and then remineralize to reach the other.

My opinion, your current parameters are fine for almost all common plants.
