55 Gallon Tank can i keep

I like yellow tangs and I heard they thrive in a 55 gallon aquarium I'm getting one for my birthday and wondered if I could keep them but I can't find very good advice on them help

I'm new to Saltwater too but I have heard many people say they shoulkd be in a 70+ at least

hI there a 55 gallon is the minimum for a yellow tang they can grow up to 8" when fully grown , they also need plenty of oxigen and current in the tank . what else are you putting in the tank ?

royal gramma 2 ocellaris clownfish a flame angel and a six line wrasse plus the yellow tang

Not exactl thrive, but they'll be fine for quite some time. Atleast until they get bigger. The best would be anything over 5' for most "smaller" tangs

It will be fine if you plan to move it when needed to do so, when it gets bigger, like 5" or so.
