Can I just transfer everything from my 5 gal to a brand new 10 gal tank?

So I just got a 5 gallon tank a few weeks ago and added some guppies and shrimp without cycling the tank first. I didnt know about needing to first cycle the tank until it was already too late. So my question is, can I just transfer everything from my 5 gal to a brand new 10 gal tank? Or do I need to cycle the 10 gal before moving everything?

Best to cycle the 10 gallon
But if you use the old filter and the new filter in the 10 gallon then you could move them straighaway

How many guppies and what shrimp and how many?

Néons need a lot of space, at least 60l and need to be kept in a school of at least 6.
Why not boost up the guppy numbers and régime the neons

If you have tree guppies hopefully you have 2 female and one male, and to be honest a 5 gallon for just those three fish alone is the minimum they recommend so its not ideal, with the current fish load you have in that 5 gal you will have a very hard time keeping the water parameters in check. Also the smaller the tank the harder keeping the water balance actually becomes. If you want to keep your current fish you should upgrade to a twenty gallon tank.

Neon tetras should have a school of no less then 6 and 20 gallon tank. Again these are recommendation, but think of it this way, I could live in my closet and not die but it sure would not be pleasant, good luck.

PS This is a great site for stocking information.

It a place to start but it is not reliable and doesn't replace researching fish at sites like fishbase, seriouslyfish and planetcatfish.

after you move the tank, be diligent with checking your water parameters. everyday until you see complete consistency, I'd say. I moved a tank and lost a fish because of ammonia poisoning, even though I had reused my filter and its media :/
