Hi! I am wondering if it would be ok to add a some ghost shrimp to my 2.5 gallon betta tanks. (There are 4 dividided sections in my 10 gallon) If so, how many?

Normally, i would probably say "worth a shot". I am curious why so many dividers in a 10 gal though?

I breed bettas and have a very small room so I need to make most of my space. I feel like some shrimp would add a lot to the tank but just wanted to make sure the bettas would be ok with it. I could just take a couple out of my 39 gallon sorority. Each section of the boys tank is decently live planted with sand and fluvle stratum substrate- they each have a much needed coconut hide as well. The boys are spoiled- they get live food every single day. My one boy will eat but 1 brand of pellets.. Picky.. They all do good with there space. They are plakat, crown or veil tail as well so don't have the huge half moon tails..

They have been good with my female bettas and have survived them and the fiddler crabs so high hopes LOL! If they are dead.. Not to be mean but,..oh well, I have a lot...

Its only 5 inches of space for either the betta to escape getting pinched, or the shrimp to escape getting dismembered. If I were you I would not add the shrimp.

A 10 gallon is 20 inches long, dived by four each section is only 5 inches across and 10 inches high, for either the betta to escape getting pinched, or the shrimp to escape getting dismembered. If I were you I would not add the shrimp. that is my opinion
