Can I Fit An Algae Eater?

Hi I'm sure the answer is no but I've not had a tank this small in decades so I need advice.
I have a 10g with 1.1 swordtails and 1.2 balloon mollies, if possible I'd like a very tiny algae critter to make my job easier. Thanks.

Snails would work for that size tank :)

Now I'm on a snail hunt. Thanks so much! Hoping they won't kill live plants?

Well I have no experience with them , but I think they might. Maybe start a thread in beginners on the subject? Hope I was helpful

Nerite snails do not harm plants.

Nerites will get rid of algae fast and don't reproduce in fresh water.

What I've been reading this past 20 minutes or so is they will not harm plants or reproduce. Can't beat that!!!

Thanks for the advice everyone. Nice to hear from people who have them. Now I found one online for $4 but shipping is $17! Lol

Also I assume I shouldn't get more than 1? So they are fine alone? I've always been one of those that need pairs haha ;)

They are fine alone. I would just do 1 in a 10 gallon so there is enough algae for it.

1.1 swordtails and 1.2 balloon mollies? What? lol
Neither of those fish are suitable long term for this size tank.

Can you explain? I've never had a tank this small as I said...

So I'd like advice if these are incompatible... not going to get rid of anyone though so not sure what to do. So I appreciate all constructive criticism.... however "what? Lol" is not helpful to me. I believe in helping and advising people even when we don't agree. Thanks...rant over.

I think Anders is confused how you have 1.1 fish and 1.2 fish. It's a bit difficult to have a tenth of a fish...
