Can I Draw Your Betta?

I wanna draw some fish! I'd use my own boy, Major Tom, as a model, but his tail is a mess (he's too curious for his own good, is all I'll say on that). I love him dearly, but he is no model. So post a pic with your betta and its beautiful tail! I don't want any gill flaring, though. I'll also send you the final product when I'm finished. I'll only be picking 3. These may also be used in my Etsy store portfolio/shared on my artist social media accounts. Thanks!

I may do more later on. I'm gonna start with bettas since I know them best and maybe some cories (I've got peppered cories cories. Mine are so beautiful). I love discus and cichlids but don't have any because I don't have the space for a big enough tank, so I may do those next.

She’s a girl, maybe not flashy, but has a sweet face. She was on sdiscount at Petco. She probably would have not lived long if I hadn’t bought her, she’d probably been in that cup as a little baby. The way she looked at me in the store, she was different than the others. She was trying to connect with me. It worked! I just adore her.

He looks like my baby, Oscar! Oscar did not last long for unknown reasons, so I have a special place for those kinds of bettas.

When I got her, her body was more off white/pale yellow and her fins were red but there wasn’t that blue tint running through them, it was more white. She’s really getting more vibrant!

This is my sweetie Speckle. She just got out of quarantine a week ago for a body infection, Kanaplex and Furan-2 were required but she cleared up. I love her so much, she’s just so social for a fish! She’ll swim right up to the edge of her tank and “follow” me around my room as best she can. I just can’t put words to how sweet this little fishy is! Her blue eyes are gorgeous in my opinion. I wish I could breed her but my parents have a 1 tank no larger than 10 gallons rule.

I won't be drawing anything anytime soon! My first grad school class started the other week, and between that, being a teacher at the end of the school year, and trainings for my summer job, my time is short! Hopefully later in the summer I can pick it back up, though.
