My tank is fully cycled, the ammonia cycled in 24 hours and then I did a water change to lessen the nitrates. Can I add my betta now?
Right now I would be hesitate too. Did you use anything else to cycle the tank? Also where are you nitrites at?
The only experience I have had with TSS is during fish in cycles with hardy fish in pushing the overstock envelope tanks. Both times it worked out fine, although up until last week I got a trace ammonia reading. (Tank has been running for about two months now. (Other came down with parasite not related to cycle)). TSS for me acted almost instantly it seemed like also. I would wait to see other peoples answers before you act but here is mine.
Bettas are pretty hardy (kept one is death vase for three years), and I think you should be able to add it just fine. Also saw on your profile that you have other tanks that I assume are cycled. Why not add some media or maybe gravel to the betta filter or tank, to almost insta-cycle the tank. Just curious though how big is this betta tank.
