Can I add extra seal to my tank?

I have heard horror stories of tanks leaking. I have a new 125 gallon tank that I haven’t filled yet. Is there anything that I can do as an extra precautionary step to make sure my tank is going to be double sealed?

cured silicone will refuse to bond with almost any substance, including fresh silicone.

Unless you bought a cheap tank from a rubbish manufacturer or a 2nd hand tank that stood dry for years there is no need to be afraid.
Double sealing is also nonesense, as cured silicone and fresh silicone don't bind together. In case of a leak usually the whole tank has to be done from scratch.

You need to do nothing. To reseal you first must remove the old silicone and your tank is new.
