The tank has 7 blushing white skirt tetras, 4 silver lyre tail mollies, 1 albino bristlenose pleco 2 mystery snails (1 ivory 1 black) 2 nerite snails and 5 albino cory catfish. If I can does the sex of the betta matter?

Sorry, no. Other fish simply not compatible with a male betta, and the betta would probably have trouble with the depth as well

I would not risk putting a betta with the tetras personally.

I agree with Fried Bettas, not a good choice for betta tankmates imo. Especially the mollies. Sorry. :)

Ok thanks. I'll wait on another betta until I have another tank.
