Can different species of guppies live together?

I have a 10-gallon and I'm only going to stock with guppies, but is it possible to have different species of them together? For example, 2 Endler guppies with 2 elephant ear guppies. I also plan to have them all the same sex.

Yes they will live well together. I don’t think they will interact or shoal together though.

P. reticulata (Guppy) and P. wingei (Endler's Guppy) can hybridize. Those are the only species of guppy going by that name. All the forms like elephant ear or moscow blue or whatever are only linebred breeds and domestic strains of one of the two or hybrids already.

If you only want to keep males be prepared for them fighting and the usually smaller Endlers are likely getting the short end of the stick.

Almost correct!
Besides Poecilia reticulata and Poecilia wingei, there are also Poecilia obscura and Poecilia kempkesi. All are categorized as the four guppy species that differ in DNA from eachother. Wether Poecilia wingei is an actual guppy species, still remains a question. But they are for sure close related. Same goes for all the sub species' "Micropoecilia".

I’d be concerned with nipping, but with 4 males in a ten gal and hiding places it should be ok. I keep Endler males and a couple female Guppies. The goal was more hybrids, the result has been complete disinterest and now far fewer fry lol
Mine explore all levels of the tank and the females love the rock crevices. Hoping they’ll like the mangrove roots too!
