Yes.

Instead of the end cap being installed, a "bulls eye" adapter piece is put in allowing a 2nd sponge assembly to be stacked.

Then the end cap goes onto the last assembly.

You can either buy an ATI "stackable kit" or an ATI Hydro Max sponge filter, to stack onto the Filter Max.

Their normal sponge filters can be stacked also..

Here are the pieces that come with the filter max...

The slotted barrels are exactly the same as the Hydro Max sponge filters from ATI. All of their products are interchangeable and modular.

I have a ATI Hydro Sponge II stacked on top of a Hydro Sponge III Pro (coarse foam) in our 55g African tank...

Zoom in on the right corner and you can see it.

(Older pic, rocks are different now but the sponge filter is still in same place)

On the left, is the ATI Filter Max III on my Hydor's intake.

If you order from Ken's, check out his selection of Ken's branded fish food. Ive used it for over a year now, quality food for a great price.
Jehmco carry complete product line-up of ATI products.

Question Islandvic - I have several bulleyes I ordered, and MAN is it a loose fit where the bullseyes go in where those plastic end pieces would otherwise go to stack them! I mean, loose like I can't see how they will stay on and not fall off. Are they supposed to be this way? Just seems really, really weird. I swear NOTHING in this hobby just works like it should!!!

In my experience, some of them fit right while others dont.

On the ones that are loose, I wrap some white plumber's teflon tape around the part that connects.

This will make them stay put.
