Alex, my biggest Chinese Algae Eater of my 2 Chinese Algae Eaters is starting to grow big and I am wondering if I can house him in a bigger tank with African Cichlids. Can I do this as he gets bigger?

What African Cichlids are they? If they're Rifts I would say no too for his own sake. If they're West Africans I would say no for their sake. Sucking loaches become aggressive when they get bigger...

African cichlids are petty much the only fish that can be kept with cae, not saying the cae won't harass and injure them though. . They will only tolerate the slime coat sucking for so long before they intervene.

Please specify which African Cichlids you mean. Kribensis and the other West African dwarf cichlids are not good tank mates for large CAEs.

I don't know a whole lot on the matter. I've watched a few you tube vids displaying the interaction between the 2. I wouldn't keep cae with anything I didn't want to get tortured or worse.

At the end of the day, keeping any fish with a CAE is a risk...
