Can a male platy live by himself with guppies and a sucker fish?

Hello,
So my female platy died after giving birth to 4 healthy babies and I was wondering if he could live alone with his tank mates or if I needed to get another female for him? So far he is doing pretty good by himself with his tank mates.

 

I believe they can do just fine on their own. I've had single one's before and they did excellent!

 

Yes male platy's will be fine by themselves.

 

Can females be alright alone? I have read that they are social and if they don't have anyone to play with they will glide up and down the side of the tank nervously

 

I've never heard of females needing other platys. If you intend to breed them then you need to have twice the females as males
