Can 2 week old livebearer fry survive only being fed once a day?

I will be going on vacation for 2 weeks & so my babysitter has agreed to come to my house everyday & fed all my fish. I know my adult fish will be fine w/once a day feeding but I'm worried that my 2 week old fry won't survive with just one feeding a day since I feed 3-4 times a day. I have 15 tb platy fry & 4 lyretail Molly fry, all in their own fry grow out tank. I'm also worried about them not getting their weekly pwc. I really I don't come home to dead fry. Anyone have any experience in these types of situation?

Are you keeping the fries in a breeder box or in a separate tank?

You can buy HikarI First Bites for fries. Also tell your babysitter to feed the fries .

The fry will be fine with one daily feeding. It will just slow their growth a bit, and not that much since you are only going to be gone for two weeks. For that period, I wouldn't even have the adults fed at all, as that just pollutes a lot more than not feeding them. Feeding the fry could also be left out if you had some bushy live plants to cram into their tanks.

I often go away for two weeks at a time. Fry will be fine with one feed a day. More importantly is to portion the food to be given at a time, as strangers (to this hobby) tend to overfeed and pollute the water. I also leave a net handy and instruct the house sitter to remove any dead fish she may find.

The fry are in their own tank. So maybe I should just tell my sitter to feed only the fry every day and the other tanks every other day? I know adults fish can go without eating for weeks but I'm afraid they will get aggressive towards each other due to lack of food, especially my 60 gallontank which has 2 big angels who r pigs! Plus I have 2 gravid platies in there who r due to drop fry around the time I get back so hungry angels would most likely mean no surviving fry lol!

At least you wouldn't have to worry about them being fed!
