Hello was wondering if anyone has had experience with growing cabomba with a finnex stingray? Was thinking about purchasing this plant. If it requires more lighting, can anyone suggest another similar plant that will thrive with the finnex stingray output?

    Thanks

I'm not sure about that particular light, But Cabomba requires a lot of light, ferts, and presurized CO2 to survive.

Thanks for the quick reply. Shoot really wanted to plant some camboba. Any similar plant you recommend for low light?

Yeah, Hornwort is similar to Cabomba and will work in low/medium light.

Mayaca fluviatalis is also nice, as is Myriophyllum "green". Both are similarly structured to cabomba. Mayaca will require soft, acidic water though.

so I was thinking about hornwort, edolea densa, or ambulia. Suggestions?

Hornwort will grow.... and it'll keep growing long past the day you wish it would stop. Personally I'd go for the elodea.
