Buying plants online - not petco and petsmart

Hi,
I want to start my new aquarium with live plants, which is a new experience for me. My community has two aquarium stores (one vastly superior to the other) and Petco and Petsmart. I would like to find some plants that aren't just the run of the mill which eliminates the big box stores.

I have been a very successful gardener in the yard, and want to bring some of that indoors.

What has been your experience ordering plants on line? What suppliers do you like? How much should I be paying for shipping? Is eBay okay? Aqua bid? I don't need vast amounts of plant matter just a couple of specimens as I am only planting a 5G tank.
Thanks,

Swess

I've ordered the majority of my plants from ebay. Lots of good sellers on there. I have also ordered quite a few from Trins Fish which is also great.

I am concerned about this site (), as they don't have photos of most of their merchandise They look like they know what they are doing by their videos, but I want to see what I am buying.

Thanks Coradee. Yes it's a new site, I built it myself so it's a bit of a process getting all of the stock photos in. Our old site used a lot of stock photos from Florida aquatic, but with this new one I've made it a point to take photos of each item so it takes a bit longer to get it all sorted on the site.

I have gotten some from amazon, liveaquaria and peabodysparadise. All arrived healthy and have grown well in my tank.

I got all of mine from Substrate Source. I can't say enough nice things about them.

I ordered a set from Peabody's / jetajockey / easyplanted. They were awesome plants and all of them came in great condition. I am actually going to be ordering some more in a couple weeks from them.
