Buying Gently Used Products--Should I?

Someone on another fish forum is selling the following items:

36" aqueon dual t5 lamp with 2 daylight 6500k bulbs 75$ new, 45$ shipped
36" Finnex Planted Plus 24/7 all accessories 130$ new, 100$ plus shipping
Max min c02 reactor with the needed accessories to make it work with standard canister filter lines 35$ new, 20$ shipped
C02 regulator with electric solenoid 80$ new, 40$ shipped
UP Aqua simple c02 regulator 25$ new, 12$ shipped
24 ounce Paintball tank 40$ new, 25 bucks shipped
Paintball tank to c02 regulator adapter 20$ new, 10$ shipped as well as a drop checker and a bubble counter.

I would need it all shipped to me, and he said the price for all of it including shipping would be $250.00. I have a fluval 404 (still new in box, but several years old) that I would also be using on my tank. I am not sure what tank I'm going with yet--either a 30 gallon tank, or a 53 g tank. The 53 g tank is the same footprint as a 40breeder, but taller. The 30 g tank is 36" X 12" X I forget how high....

So, my question is, before I lay out this chunk of change, is it a good deal? Are these all products I would need/use on a high-tech planted tank? I had been debating whether or not to go full on co2, but I really want a nice carpet of something, and I think co2 is definitely going to help with that. If this is a good deal, then I will get it and definitely do co2 and everything. I do plan to use aquasoil for my substrate. I also plan to have planted driftwood and maybe some planted rocks. Eventually I plan to turn the tank into a betta sorority. Haven't decided what other fish to put in there, but I would hope my girls would get along with a peaceful school of something.

Thanks for any and all advice!

I would not bother with this. I had this fixture in a 48" version on a 55 gal and I couldn't even grow low light plants.

36" Finnex Planted Plus 24/7 all accessories 130$ new, 100$ plus shipping

How old is the fixture and how much did they use it?

I don't have experience with CO2 setups, but see above comments/questions in green!

He says everything has only been used around five months and all the light fixtures have the original boxes and paperwork. Is the finnex a good fixture by itself? (I.e. if I decide to skip on this offer, and buy my own light fixture, would that be a good choice?) The seller told me I could get away with just the finnex on a 30 gallon tank, but I would need both lights for a 53g tank....

I am not sure if the co2 set up is a good deal or not. He was going to let it go for around $100 shipped if someone bought the whole deal without the lights, so that would make the lights around $150. (for both shipped, and I know shipping on the lights probably isn't super cheap).

I'm thinking I'll pass on this deal and look elsewhere. Thanks for the feedback!!

Finnex are great fixtures, but if was heavily used or possibly got water damage, I would pass on that too.

"The up simple regulator is garbage, if you want to do a high tech system definitely go for a quality regulator unit.

Thanks for all the advice. I think I will pass on this offer for sure. I may very well do a finnex fixture--but I can get one brand new shipped for almost the same as this guy wants. I was just thinking I could get everything I need in one go, but it sounds like I'd be better off passing on this.
