Buying a Tank

Where is the cheapest place to buy just the 40 gallon tank. If I can trade my 20 along with it that would help

 

Craigslist would be the first place to go if it were me. Great deals can be found there. Freecycle is also another good place to look.

 

When petco has it's $1 a gallon sale, that's pretty cheap. Also check craigslist.

If you want new, PetCo is due to have their $1 per gallon sale very soon. If you don't mind used, Craigslist and Freecycle are good places to look

 

Just be careful of Craigslist and Freecycle- I had to reseal 5 of my 9 tanks- I got for "cheap" on CL and in the end I was better off buying new for the hassle that came with it.

 

I have gotten 3 of my tanks from free cycle! What a great group. I have also gotten rid of quite a few usable items that way too.

I have bought a few tanks off CL and have had decent luck all in all.

Thou I do agree if PETCO tosses their $1 per gallon sale its really hard to beat.
