hello.. does anyone have any photos of the butterfly fish? What species it belongs to? any links? thank so much,
Also, any ideas of a nice 'yellow' fish to go in a community tank? I have mollies, platy, dwarf gourami a male betta and a silver tip shark cat.
Thanks in advance! ~ kate

Ive noticed that the male platy go after each other. Would they be ok if there were no females in the tank with them? Or would that behavior continue regardless.

They should do that when establishing the pecking order, but then settle down. Females do get along after establishing a pecking order (we got all females), but you can still end up with pregnant ones (like we did).

I also ended up with a pregnant female. Before I realized what was floating around in the tank, the other fish ate them. What I could tell there wernt a lot of fry, but it happened so fast there was nothing I could do. Now I have some grass at the top of the tank for just in case. And hopefully the two dalmation molly I bought on saturday are females as I requested. But ya never know!

Yea, we learned by trial & error with our fry how to save more of them since they were a surprise.

A nice little splash of yellow we have in our tank is a sunfire guppy. Ours has a yellow body with a white belly and his tail is yellow and graduall gets darker and ends up red at the very end. A very pretty fish.
